Wanda J. Gilbert, CCCD DAS was asked to participate in the Reality Store again this year. Located at the “Groceries” station, she explained the process that takes place from the time you prepare your soil till you harvest your vegetables to eat. The district provided a packet of “Garden Seeds” along with a “Dig It” bookmark to each 8th grade student. .

Participated in the “Backyard Conservation” class on Wednesday, April 14th. They viewed the “9” minute video and each received educational materials, backyard plan layout, a “Soda Bottle” Bird Feeder Kit and Wind Chime.
2010 Earth Day Events

Cumberland County Elementary School Grade K-4 received an “Earth Day” Globe Keychain and Grade 5 received an “Earth Day” Pencil for Earth Day.
Mrs. Patti Arm’s students at Lake Cumberland Headstart Center along with all students received a 2 year old “White Pine” tree seedling for Earth Day.
