Chamber of Commerce Information
The Chamber of Commerce is an organization through which volunteers of our community work effectively to make Burkesville and Cumberland County a better place to live and work. It is the community's 'Department of Progress.'
Our chamber is not part of a city, county, or state government; political party; civic or social club; social service or welfare agency.
It is primarily an organization of industries, professionals, and businesses who have joined together to work for the solution of their mutual business and community problems. In Cumberland County, as in every other area, there is a distinct need for an organized group such as the Chamber of Commerce, for there are problems and opportunities which individuals working alone cannot possibly solve; by working with others, however, and pooling time and resources, accomplishments can be made.
